We are Jews Fighting for Our Future. We are the Jewish youth campaign to defeat the Right in November and win freedom and dignity for all.

In the lead up to the election, we will educate the progressive movement and ourselves about antisemitism and this political moment, so that we can engage in meaningful conversations with our community before November. And in the coming months, when the GOP inevitably uses antisemitism, racism, or other forms of hate to fuel division, we will join with progressives from all backgrounds to confront them, making it clear that defeating the far-right together is the only strategy to keep all of our communities safe. At each step, we will grow our movement in the collective effort to defeat Trump.

When Trump is out of office, our movement will be stronger than ever — and we will use that power to pressure the new Democratic Administration to address the status quo of racism and injustice in America and Israel/Palestine. That is how we win the progressive change that will ensure all communities can thrive.

Why as Jews?

Trump’s racism and antisemitism have given unprecedented power to those who threaten the safety of American Jews. These same people threaten the safety of other marginalized people in this country. The Right desperately wants to use antisemitism and Jewish fear to divide our communities, and we cannot allow that to happen. American Jews must be part of the movement to defeat rising fascism as Jews, joining with people across racial and religious differences to keep each other safe.

Why Us? What about our institutional leaders?

We need to lead because those who claim to speak for American Jews have failed. Too many American-Jewish leaders excuse the antisemitism of right-wing, pro-Israel politicians because of their unconditional support for Israel and its brutal occupation of the Palestinian people. This complicity by the American Jewish establishment enables the Right’s racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, anti-Blackness, and antisemitism. We need to show those who claim to represent our community what real leadership looks like in the face of fascism and hate.

Everyone keeps talking about defeating Trump. But this crisis didn’t start with Trump!

Our collective house is on fire — we must get rid of Trump to put out that fire, then pass progressive policies to strengthen the foundations of the house. We must build a mass movement — alongside other progressives — to get rid of Trump so we can be ready to push a Democratic administration on Day 1 to fight for our shared future. The Republican Party has welcomed far-right extremists into mainstream political discourse, and they have access to a level of state power they have not had in decades, deeply embedded in the Republican Party, local electoral campaigns, law enforcement agencies, the military, and government. This election is part of a long-term campaign to take away their power; We must remove them, and push them back to the shadows of society.

What is your vision for “Our future”?

We know that true safety is not having another place to flee to — it’s being safe where we are, side by side with our neighbors, having what we need to thrive. We do not accept the idea that antisemitism is something that’s always been here and will always be here. We don’t have to live with it. We can build a world where there is no more fuel to power it, or any other form of hate — whether it be racism, Islamophobia, xenophobia, etc. We will work side-by-side with all people harmed by white supremacy to protect each other and win a better world, where we all have what we need to thrive. We must take back our country and build coalitions so Palestinians, Black people, people of color, immigrants, Muslims, and Jews show up for each other every time one of us is targeted.

Why are you so focused on the antisemitism of the GOP?

Antisemitism can show up anywhere, but it only benefits those politicians and groups that rely on fear and division to maintain power — which is the core strategy of the GOP. Don’t take our word for it, go to howtofightantisemitism.com to read about every example of Republican antisemitism since Trump announced his presidential campaign in 2015.
